White River Place appoints local businesswoman as Centre Manager
The team at White River Developments is pleased to announce that Claire Daniel of St Austell is taking position today as the Centre Manager of White River Place, the £75m redevelopment in the heart of St Austell.
Claire will be at the helm of White River Place as it prepares for launch. She will then be the permanent Centre Manager of the shopping centre, working closely with the Town Centre Manager and the retailers to ensure the people of St Austell are offered a complete town centre shopping experience.
An experienced manager, Claire has previously worked in offices, restaurants and education as well as within the role of Functions Manager at the Eden Project. This wealth of expertise, along with her knowledge of St Austell, will prove invaluable as she leads the new shopping centre through its opening months and first years of trade.
Claire, who has lived in St Austell for 38 years, married her long term partner, Mark, only weeks ago. She comments: "White River Place is going to be a real asset to Cornwall's largest town and I’m very proud to have been appointed as Centre Manager. It will bring new people to the town and will encourage further private investment, which is a very positive sign for St Austell's future. I'm very excited to be right at the heart of this major new chapter for my hometown and I look forward to welcoming everyone to see White River Place for themselves when it opens on 29th October."
Tim Smart, Associate at Alder King and managing agent for White River Place, comments: "Claire will be a real asset to the team thanks to her facilities management background, while her her hometown understanding of St Austell will ensure she is a natural fit for White River Place."
Sean Finlay, Director of White River Developments adds: "We are delighted to be welcoming Claire to the team. Her enthusiasm, drive and personal understanding of Cornwall bode very well for the scheme’s success here in St Austell."
